While Matthew was out of town, my mom came into town to keep Hudson and I (mostly, me) company. We ventured to Ikea, Pat Catan's craft store, and various other places to add some finishing touches in our living room and dining room and other parts of the house. We've had a great time! While we were at Ikea, I bought our new dining room table. We picked it up and carried it into the house, and put it together and flipped it over.
It was heavy!
Unfortunately, the table we had previously was not sturdy enough for us to use so we bought the one that matched our chairs. We only have the four chairs now but we plan on getting a bench to put on one side with two chairs on the other side. We love it!

Oh, Kandace, I can so relate to your situation -- time on your hands, far away from family (but thankfully a short plane ride), waiting on a job, and a hubby that works at a national lab (yay for 980's!). It really is incredible how similar our situations were/are. Visits from Mom are like a breath of fresh air! It took me about 10 months to find a good job in Albuquerque -- and now I absolutely look forward to those days at home, alone. Enjoy this season in your life (albeit the lonely days). Before you realize, it will pass. :)
