My mom, sister, niece, Blakely, and I took a trip to Iowa to visit my grandma. She fell recently and had surgery so we wanted to see how she was doing and visit her!
Blakely was so lucky to spend time with her Nanie in the backseat. Our new car has a DVD player in the rear and so they got to watch a few movies.
We stayed in a hotel and Blakely LOVED the phone and looking out the window. She could see the car and she'd keep saying, "Kandie's car." Her mommy was smart to unplug the phone from the wall so she could have some fun playing with it while we got ready.

Grandma was doing well! She isn't up moving around a lot but she goes to physical and occupational therapy so we hope that helps her heal well! She loved the treats we brought and loved talking to Blakely. She was tired when we left!
We bought grandma some flowers and a neat photo holder to hold some new pictures.

On our trip home we stopped in Des Moines to eat at Rock Bottom Brewery and go into Barnes & Noble to stretch our legs for a little bit. Blakely got to see some Elmo books (she LOVES Elmo!) and play with the train table.
It was a great trip to see Grandma and spend time with my mom, sister and niece!
