fall is in the air.

We love fall.
(Ok, I love fall (can I do double paranthesis? --- it may quickly be passing up my love for all things winter). Matthew loves that college football is here!) Anyway...the air smells different, the trees begin changing, we have open windows at night, and the Yankee Candle smell of Harvest is abundant in our living room. LOVE, love, love it!!! And soon we get to go to the pumpkin patch, pick our pumpkins, enjoy apple cider, hayrides, and corn mazes. What's not to love about this season?
(our digs are now officially decorated for the season, including this coffee table centerpiece.)

planting flowers

We planted some flowers this weekend. My horticulturist husband was very helpful and did a great job!
(although there is not a picture of me with my hands in the potting soil, I did help plant!)

More Winter!

Happy Groundhog's Day!
6 more weeks of winter? Really!

But did Punxsutawney Phil really have to see his shadow?

That stinks! It's been cold and snowy here for t-o-o long!

p.s. Punxsutawney is only about 90 miles from us.

Fall

Do you know that fall is the most beautiful season? Well, at least I think so...until winter comes and snow covers the trees. And then when spring comes and the flowers bloom.

Enjoy some pictures from our neighborhood and the park where we take Hudson. It is beautiful around here.
