saturday at the park

Matthew and I watched the girls one Saturday so Kari and Neal could attend a wedding.  We ventured to the park for a little while.
Look at these little precious sisters holding hands!

LOVE these SMILES!
We had a lot of fun playing at the park and enjoying the beautiful weather!
When we got back home, Hudson had to be part of the action!

the dog OUT the window

Matthew and I headed different places this morning. He took Hudson the park to run and I went to run a few errands. Upon coming down the street, I noticed Matthew and the pup turning the corner to our street. Hudson LOVES to hang out the windows. Since it was a lovely day (we hit 73 degrees!), M was not freezing. But even if the weather is cold, we still have the windows down for the dog. He's spoiled!

a somewhat nice, but mucky day

It was in the 50's here today! Our ice/snow mix melted some and we were able to spend a lot of time outside.

We took Hudson for a walk and ventured to the dog park, all 67lbs of him. He just keeps getting heavier and taller.

Anyway, he had a blast splashing around in the mud from all the snow melt.
Unfortunately, I was not thinking about it being muddy and my running shoes now look like this:
Check out the mud splashes:
His under belly was covered in mud and wet, dirty water.
He went straight to the bathtub when we got home! He loved it all (except for the bath).

South Park Nature Park

Not too far from our new house is a park, about 10 minutes and we love going there with Hudson and taking walks. We've also started (well, mainly Matthew) teaching him to retrieve. It tuckers him out but he really does enjoy it! He also always gets comments while we're walking about how pretty he is or how big he is going to be ("look at those paws!").

Matthew and Hudson getting ready to play fetch.
"INCOMING!"I can sit still for a second.Wow, this is a huge bone and it smells like mint! There are deer in the park, only about 4-5 feet away from the walking trails. We saw a couple of fawn and even some bucks tonight with their antlers. This is the end result....he's pooped!
