it's a snow day.

Hudson LOVES the snow!  And it was a bonus that Matthew was able to work from home and take some time to play with him outside...

 And while they played, I baked...

kansas city half marathon.

Matthew trained and ran his first half marathon - the Kansas City Half Marathon.  He did a remarkable job.  I am so proud of him!

Happy Birthday to the best husband I could ask for!  What a year it will be for you, handsome. 

We celebrated on his birthday (September 30th) by having brunch at First Watch and then he opened presents!

I love you very much and hope this is a great year for you!

The next weekend we celebrated Matthew's birthday on September 29th with the Thomas family.  We enjoyed dinner together, cheesecake, and gifts!

We shared with them by using this "Baby T" plate that we passed around the table with the rolls on it.  When Matthew's mom took off the last roll she saw it and she look so surprised!  It was so fun to share with them.

We celebrated Matthew's birthday with my family on September 21st and decided it would be the perfect time to tell them we are having a baby!

We played Apples to Apples together shortly after everyone arrived.

The reaction from my mom as she read the card that said, "Baby Thomas."  We really surprised everyone!

Then the party went on.  We enjoyed dinner together and then celebrated with cake, ice cream, and presents!

It was a fun night to celebrate Matthew's 29th birthday!

Matthew has been trying to beat the heat and keep his garden growing!  We've had cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers so far!

 Hudson was sure to help as he dug down 3 feet.  That's quite a long ways!

Home ownership is so fun!

to the pumpkin patch.

Several weekends ago Matthew and I made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch.  It was a beautiful day!

 Matthew was our navigator through the corn maze, although it wasn't too difficult.

 We took a hayride out to the fields to find our pumpkins.

Then, we finished our day with a cider slush and a cider donut.  It was pretty wonderful!
