it's a snow day.

Hudson LOVES the snow!  And it was a bonus that Matthew was able to work from home and take some time to play with him outside...

And while they played, I baked...

annual holiday baking 2012.

Each year the ladies get together to do some holiday baking!  We always end up with so many yummy treats but it is a lot of fun!  We even had matching aprons made this year.  First we meet for breakfast at IHOP by my parents, then we all go to the grocery store together, and then we get to baking...

2nd annual baking day.

This year, we met at IHOP before our busy holiday baking day!

These little girls are so special to me!  And of course, I love spending time with my mom and my sister.

It was a lovely Saturday with lots of yummy treats made!  Thanks, Mom for offering up your kitchen for us to make a mess in and to Dad for cleaning so many of our dishes at the end!

Easter egg rice krispie treats!

We made treats for our small group this past weekend.  Matthew saw the idea somewhere to make these and so we gave it a try.  Basically you make rice krispie treats, stuff them inside of an Easter egg, and then put M&M's inside of them to make them rattle like candy in a plastic egg.

We've shared them with others this week because our small group got cancelled but they sure were yummy and cute and we even have a few left to eat still!

valentine's day goodies.

I love baking.  Really, when I have time and the goodies to make people for, I enjoy it.  And even more so, when Matthew does the dishes from my mess!
I spent time on Saturday and Sunday making some goodies for our small group on Sunday before Valentine's Day and then some for Matthew to take to work and pass out a few others....
Strawberry lemonade cupcakes, red velvet cream sandwiches, and monster cookies

And the best part...Matthew cleaned out the sink and did all of the dishes.
Love that man!  He is so good to me.

Earlier this month, my mom, sister, and Blakely and I got together to do some holiday baking!!!
We made lots of yummy treats!
Blakely had time to check out the Tiffany & Co. catalogue.
Hard at work...
She LOVED playing in the floor and rolling out the sugar cookie dough.Matthew even stopped by to help later...
and Dad took care of chopping up the peppermint bark.
